2010 SBS Hamilton Half Marathon, Sunday 3 October

The 2010 SBS Hamilton Half Marathon event date has been confirmed for Sunday 3 October. Information for the 2010 event will be out shortly.

2009 SBS Hamilton Half Marathon, Sunday 4 October

The 2009 event saw a record 2200 entries and record rainfall!

With the prize giving having to be cancelled the organisers will be making contact with the winners of open and age groups regarding their prizes shortly. Please refer to the results page.

Congratulations to the Half Marathon winners Michael Pugh from Tauranga who broke the race record by just over 2 minutes running 1.11.11 and Michelle Hyland who holds the women's race record ran close to her record in a time in 1.29.45.
The 10km race was won by John Crane in 35.31 and the women's race saw Helen Rountree take line honours in 38.30.

The winners of the Corporate Team Ingham Honda trophy in the Half Marathon were the team Opus Aces (Garry Wilson, Mark Walmsley, Nick Freke and Keith Hamill) with a combined time of 5.52.33.
The 10km Corporate Team Ingham Honda trophy was won by the team from Te Awamutu Fire Brigade (Dave Shaw, Danny Smith, Shaun Higginson, Mathew Lawrence).

A highlight of the day had to be the Kids Marathon. What an impressive sight they made running their 2 laps of the Governors Lawn to complete their marathon and receive their special Kids Marathon medal.
